Is the paint safe?
YES! Products used have antibacterial/hypoallergenic properties; they are water based and FDA approved for professional cosmetic use. As with any cosmetics, some people may be sensitive to any or all of the ingredients, should you have ANY concerns regarding a possible reaction to face paints please discuss with the artist before being painted. Materials used by the artists are cleaned thoroughly, following each session.
Will the paint smear or rub off?
The makeup used dries to a powder finish similar to women’s foundation which will not smear when dry. Because the paint is water based, it can smear when wet. Sweaty/ teary/ wet hands/ etc. Which we will be more than happy to touch up an smeared designs!
We accept no responsibility in a cases where face paint may get transferred to clothing, carpets or other soft furnishings.
How do you remove the paint?
We always use water based paint. Therefore, the paint can be removed with soap and water, baby and/or makeup wipes work as well. Some colors, such as green and blue, may leave a light color behind on the skin after cleaning. If this happens repeat cleaning methods. Baby shampoo can also help remove any residual staining or tinting of the skin.
How long will the makeup last?
The designs can lasts all day until removed.
What if a child appears to have a sore on his/her face?
We will not be able to paint children who appear to be contagious or may be of a health concern. Including: open wounds, cold sores, or appears unwell.
Also, we will not paint anyone who does not wish to be painted. In this case we can offer an arm or hand design where possible.
How long does it take to paint kids/adults?
At parties we generally can paint about 10 to 12 guest an hour.
Baby bumps, depending on how detailed, usually takes 1 hour.
Halloween group appointments of 4 or more can take anywhere from 15-30mins per person. Private appointments usually take much longer (1hr minumin) as they may be very detailed looks and/or incorpoate body painting and special fx.
How do I pay for services?
My rates can be found on the Price List page and my vary, depending on desired services and hours hired. I ask for a, non-refundable, 25% Retainer Fee in order to secure your time slot and date payable via the paypal link on the Contact Page (click on button "Pay Retainer Fee").
Once I recieve Retainer Fee, you will recieve a confirmation email and Contract of event within 48hrs of payment. This will confirm your event in our books.
The remaining fee will be due the day of and paid to your artist. Final payment made in Cash or Check Only!
What about glitter and gems?
Every face painting gig includes cosmetic grade (safe for face/eyes) glitter!! Unlimited Gems come at an additional small fee: $10 for 1 hour & $15 for 2 hours. Gems are secured on with latex based eyelash glue. Please be awear of any latex allergies.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I am insured for your safty and my own. Please feel free to email me for any questions, comments, and/or concerns regarding face/body painting insurance. Will provide proof upon request.
